We made lots of lemon curd and scones during the first kid's cookery sessions of the school holidays. The children learned how to zest the lemons and squeeze the juice for making the lemon curd, and learned about "rubbing in" when making their scones. We weighed the ingredients and learned when everything was cooked. Everyone was suprised at how well they turned out and the lemon curd was declared "delicious"! All the children took home a tub of lemon curd, some scones and of course their Junior Chef certificate with a recipe card to cook again at home.
